9 facts that prove Queen Elizabeth II is weird.

1-      She carries her personal pack of blood wherever she goes.

Yes, you heard that right. Several people accompany the Queen on her trips, and one among them is her medical practitioner.

It is the doctor's responsibility to have the information about the nearby hospitals in the cities that they visit. The doctor also has to carry a heavy medical bag containing a mobile defibrillator and emergency medicine. The doctor also has to carry a personal pack of blood for the Queen in case of an emergency transfusion.

2-      She has a special servant to break her shoes in.

Nobody likes the blisters and abrasions that come with new shoes. Even the Queen doesn't like it. But unlike us, she has a special servant to break her shoes in. She has hired a special female servant with the same shoe size that breaks her new shoes in for her. The Queen of England has preferred similar shoes of the same brand for several years. But she does not want to experience the discomfort of new shoes, so she makes someone else do it.

3-      She loves raspberries, but will never consume them in public.

You might not know this, but raspberries are one of the Queen's favorite berries. But she can't eat them in public. Why? Because the seeds of raspberries can get stuck in teeth and that is unacceptable. Even blackberries are prohibited at official receptions for the same reason, and seeds in cucumbers and tomatoes are removed beforehand.

4-      She forbids open windows.

We are not talking about every window, just a few specific windows in Buckingham Palace. She wants the palace to look perfect from the outside, and opening the windows from its front side can ruin that.

For the same reason, the front side windows can be opened only at a specific time. A journalist from Daily Mirror named Paul Burrell managed to get employed as a servant in the palace using forged documents. That gave him the opportunity to write a series of articles about the private life of the royal family. Of course, this ended in court, where the Daily Mirror was a cusp of violating the privacy of the royal family.

5-      She hates ice cubes.

She does not hate ice. She hates ice cubes. Yes, it's the shape she doesn't like or approve of. Queen Elizabeth II does not like the sound of ice cubes inside her glass, but on the other hand, she finds the sound of ice balls much more musical. So, she uses ice balls to keep her drinks cool. There is a rumor that says Prince Philip invented the special machine that makes spherical ice, especially for his wife.

6-       She travels with a portable hook in her bag.

There is a possibility that you might not find the usual things like keys or wallet in the queen's bag, but you will surely find one strange object in there. And that is a portable hook. Why does she carry it? Apparently, she attaches this hook under the tables to hang her bag on its. Now, this is significant for her as she sends signals to her servants with her bag. For instance, if the black is on the floor, the queen wants to leave. If it's on the hook, then it's nothing. Queen Elizabeth just feels more comfortable this way.

7-      She never eats soups and potatoes.

Soups and potatoes are of course served in Buckingham Palace, but the queen doesn't eat them. Also, when she's having dinner alone, no one would dare bring her soup. And as far as potatoes are concerned, she prefers to avoid starch in her diet. We didn't know the Queen of England was diet conscious. Did you know?

8-      She isn't Very fond of beards or bow ties.

Many women find beards and mustaches masculine and attractive, but the Queen of England finds them irritating. That is why you'll notice that all the men from her close circle are clean shaven. The only exception is Prince Harry. She tried to change his mind but wasn't successful.  She is not a big fan of waistcoats and bow ties either.  Not all of them, but just the fake ones which she can detect in a matter of seconds.

9-       She has numbered all her outfits.

Every outfit of the Queen is numbered, and someone also keeps a record of it in a special journal. What does that journal contain? It contains information about the location and date when she wore the outfit. If you have noticed the Queen's clothes, you'll see that she prefers bright colors and her clothes are of a specific style. And that is why the outfits can easily be mixed up. Moreover, it's inappropriate for her to show up in the same outfit or in the same color two times in a row.
